Acclaimed jazz vocalist Antoinette Montague honors the life and legacy of legendary Harlem pianist Danny Mixon, her longtime collaborator and one of New York's most respected jazz artists. Known for her soulful voice, dynamic stage presence, and deep commitment to the jazz tradition, Montague presents a special tribute celebrating Mixon's remarkable musical legacy.

Born in Harlem, Mixon was a master pianist, composer, educator, and bandleader whose career spanned more than five decades. He performed and recorded with jazz giants including Charles Mingus, Betty Carter, Lionel Hampton, Yusef Lateef, Pharoah Sanders, and Frank Foster, while also serving as the longtime musical director of Harlem's iconic Lenox Lounge. A champion of Harlem's rich jazz heritage, Mixon inspired generations of musicians through his performances, teaching, and unwavering dedication to the music.

Through this special performance, Montague celebrates the artistry, spirit, and influence of a pianist whose music helped define the sound of Harlem jazz.
