Sankofa Cinematheque presents a special Harlem screening of Naked Acts, the groundbreaking independent feature film directed by Bridgett M. Davis. Originally shot in 1994, the film was the first feature written, produced, directed, and self-distributed theatrically by an African American woman. The story follows Cece, a young Black actress confronting body image struggles, family trauma, and identity while navigating her first major film role.
