Project Performing Arts (PPA) provides affordable and comprehensive performing arts classes for children, teens and families of the Harlem community. Located in the Catholic Charities' Lt. Joseph P. Community Center in Harlem, PPA offers a yearlong program of dance, theater arts, West African, and Caribbean Drumming. PPA instructors are experienced teaching artists and active performers from diverse professional backgrounds. Many faculty have worked together as a creative team from 7 to 24 years. Project Performing Arts provides a Friday Pre-professional dance performance workshop and PPA KIDS Summer Arts Program, as well as a 6-week summer enrichment program for children ages 6 to 12 years of age.
