Step into the world of Gilded Age New York fashion in this engaging talk at the Museum of the City of New York. Learn how women’s extravagant gowns of the late 19th century reflected wealth, power, and social ambition.

Historian Elizabeth L. Block (The Metropolitan Museum of Art) and MCNY Curator Lilly Tuttle explore how silhouettes, materials, labor, and global trade shaped fashion then and how it continues to influence modern design and cultural conversations.
