Come write the world with Uptown Stories! No matter which class you choose, you’ll become a better writer and communicator, and you’ll hold your head a little higher knowing you’re a published author. This is your space, where your voice will be heard, and you’ll be surrounded by supportive teachers and peers. If you haven’t experienced an Uptown Stories workshop yet, this is the perfect time to give it a try.
With spring right around the corner, so is a new semester of creative writing workshops! We’re so excited to introduce three NEW classes: Zine Machine (ages 10-13), Crafting Stories (ages 8-11), and Obsessions, Accidents, & Questionable Decisions (An Essay Workshop) for ages 14-18. Zine Machines and Crafting Stories will level up our storytelling skills, using arts and crafts to give our young writers another way to express themselves. For the high schoolers, Obsessions, Accidents, & Questionable Decisions is all about bringing your passions and personal stories, from the hilarious to the horrible, to life as engaging personal essays. Check these out along with returning favorites, but don’t wait to register, classes fill up fast!
All of our workshops are Pay-What-You-Can for every family — no exceptions, no proof of income needed.
