Harlem River Community Rowing
Washington Heights / Inwood
Harlem River Community Rowing (HRCR) was founded in 2006 by a group of rowers who were
looking to create affordable rowing opportunities in New York City. Rowing is not only a great
sport, but also a powerful force to build communities, bring social change, and strengthen the
connection New Yorkers have to their parks and rivers. Rowing brings new opportunities for
recreation and community economic development.
