Peace Garden at Hosteling International NYC

Hosteling International HI New York City is a non-for-profit organization. Their mission is to generate interaction between travelers and locals, to promote peace and cultural exchange. Their Garden is the largest green space that is publicly owned in Manhattan. Andrew Goodman, one of the victim of racism and savagery in Mississippi during freedom summer used to live right down the street from there. Hosteling International has a plaque in their garden in memory of the three victims, an every day reminder to stay focus on their peace and cultural exchange mission.
