Momma Loves You
February 14 – March 21, 2026
Opening Reception: Saturday, February 14, 2026 | 4–6 PM
Location: Heath Gallery
Momma Loves You is a group exhibition featuring the work of 11 artists whose practices reflect care, responsibility, and intention — both in their lives and in their work.
The exhibition began with a consideration of mothers who are artists, and what it means, especially now, to raise children while continuing to speak creatively and publicly through one’s work. It also includes artists who are not mothers in the literal sense, but whose work shapes perspective, invites attention, and asks us to look more closely at our own stories, histories, and everyday lives.
Opening during Black History Month and running into Women’s History Month, Momma Loves You highlights the impact of care across private life and public life — within families, communities, and across generations. The exhibition considers care as something practiced through mothering, community engagement, leadership, and self-sustenance.
