New York Comedy Festival Celebrates 20th Anniversary | Coming to Harlem | Nov. 7 to 17

From Thursday, November 7 to Sunday, November 17, NYCF will celebrate 20 years of laughter with more than 200 comedians performing in more than 100 shows at venues throughout the boroughs. Headliners this year include Judd Apatow, Jeff Arcuri, Dave Attell, Zarna Garg, How Did This Get Made?, Gabriel Iglesias, I’ve Had It, Joe List, Bill Maher, Matt McCusker, Tracy Morgan, Nurse John, Ms. Pat, Adam Ray is Dr. Phil, The Rest Is History, Justin Silva, JB Smoove, Dan Soder, Sommore, Jimmy O. Yang, Jaboukie Young-White, and more.  You can watch the full announcement video HERE.

 

In addition to the headliners, NYCF presents some of the best up-and-coming comics with shows across the boroughs. Most recently, we also announced that the official kick off of NYCF will celebrate comedy icon Joan Rivers with a very special tribute, Dead Funny - An All-Star Tribute to Joan Rivers Benefiting God’s Love We Deliver, on Thursday, November 7th at the Apollo Theater. The evening will bring together some of the biggest names in comedy, commemorating the 10th Anniversary of Rivers’s passing. Dead Funny - An All-Star Tribute to Joan Rivers, will feature an incredible cast of comedians and talent.  The initial line-up includes Michelle Buteau, Rachel Brosnahan, Nikki Glaser, Matteo Lane, and Randy Rainbow, with additional names being announced shortly. Melissa Rivers and Erich Bergen serve as Executive Producers. The press release of the Joan Rivers Tribute is included below.

 

Over its 20-year history (with its origins starting as a post 9/11 initiative), the New York Comedy Festival was created by Caroline Hirsch and Carolines, bringing together the country’s top comedians and maintaining a rich tradition of showcasing the very best comedic talent through diversified programming.
