Tonight we will be joined by Harlem Historian and Columbia University A’Lelia Bundles Scholar John T. Reddick and Rabbi Dimitry Ekshut of Tzibur Harlem and Base Harlem discuss their leadership of the Harlem Service Corps, an initiative of Repair the World, which mobilizes young adults to build bridges across difference through a shared, long-form experience of community service. Now in its 3rd cohort, the Harlem Service Corps focuses on connecting Jewish and Black New Yorkers to each other, the shared and intersecting history of their respective communities, and to the larger landscape of present-day life in Harlem.
