The 61st Annual Commemoration for the Life & Legacy of El-Hajj Malik
El-Shabazz, Malcolm X
will be held at The Shabazz Center in the historic Audubon Ballroom—where Malcolm X took his final breath and where his legacy was reborn. From this sacred site his beloved wife, Dr. Betty Shabazz, transformed tragedy into triumph—creating a lasting institution dedicated to uplifting and empowering generations of emerging leaders.
Malcolm X’s visionary leadership, unwavering pursuit of justice, and enduring contributions to global human rights continue to shape conscience and courage worldwide. On this momentous occasion, we gather in reflection through words and music, reaffirming our collective commitment to the principles he so powerfully championed.
