The Martina Arroyo Foundation's Prelude to Performance program, now celebrating its 10th year, is proud to present its young artists in two glorious, contrasting masterpieces, Verdi's, La Traviata and Rossini's, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, July 10-13.Verdi's, La Traviata, Thursday, July 10 and Saturday, July 12 at 7:30pm is conducted by Maestro Daniel Lipton and directed by Laura Alley.
Rossini's, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Friday, July 11 at 7:30pm and Sunday, July 13 at 2pm is conducted by Maestro Willie Anthony Waters and directed by Anthony Laciura.
The operas are traditionally staged and costumed with orchestra and chorus in Italian with supertitles at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College, E. 68th between Park and Lexington Avenues.
