Posted December 6, 2021

West Harlem, New York, December 1, 2021 - Harlem One Stop, a community-based non-profit, and the local restaurant business community are pleased to announce an exciting Festival of Food: Taste the Traditions scheduled for the holiday season, December 18, 2021 - January 2, 2022, in West Harlem.

Approximately 20 participating restaurants along the Amsterdam and Broadway corridors between 138 and 155 Streets will welcome the community and visitors in a collective cultural expression through the tastes of traditional holiday dishes. "Taste the Traditions" reflects generational history, togetherness, and the shared joy of the holidays.

The two-week-long celebration will showcase vibrant multi-cultural dining experiences that define West Harlem's globally diverse community.  Diners can experience cuisines and savor traditional holiday dishes, prix fixe, or a la carte options from $14 - $39, offered by participating venues and paired with unique cocktails and happy hour. Several venues will also feature live music curated by Jazzmobile, known for its high-quality music and performers and free concerts over the years.

Featured restaurants include L'Artista Italian Kitchen and Bar, La Casa D' La Pasta, Clove Indian Grill, Ecuatoriana Restaurant, The Grange Bar and Eatery, Hamilton Hall, Harlem Public, Home Sweet Harlem, The Honey Well, Oso Harlem, Sugar Hill Cafe, Tsion, and more...

"The pandemic created hardship for New Yorkers and businesses, in general, and on many levels.  Our local restaurateurs are our neighbors who have invested in this community and have carried us through the pandemic when we could not dine together but still had the option of a good meal. The holiday season allows us to support each other and say thank you. We are in this together, and we will continue to build a thriving community, despite the challenges." said Yuien Chin, Executive Director of Harlem One Stop and organizer of the West Harlem Festival of Food. "We are very excited for people to sample the traditions of countries and cultures from around the world with these special holiday dishes and drinks. It is our way of saying you may not be able to travel at this time, but you can still share the holiday food traditions by breaking bread with your extended family and community right here in West Harlem!"
