Often confused by name with the bassist Marcus Miller, Marcus Garrick Miller was born in South Orange, New Jersey, and began performing saxophone professionally in his mid teens. With a curiosity that extended beyond music, he graduated from Harvard University in 2008 with a degree in Mathematics. After delving into the world of finance at Bridgewater Associates, Marcus G. Miller found himself drawn back to his first love: music.
