Welcome
Our members say our worship is “something for your spirit” and describe the preaching as “always a powerful message.” This may be the church for you. Visit us and find out.
Join us Sunday mornings at 10:15 am for simple, thoughtful worship, for support in living your own best life, and for the friendship and fellowship of people who live their hopes.
Sunday School for Toddlers on up.
Second Presbyterian Church is a small but mighty congregation of the Presbyterian Church USA. Our forebears served in the Revolutionary Army, helped found what became Union Theological Seminary, New York University, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Our first black member, Katie Ferguson, began what became the Children’s Aid Society. In 1789 we founded, and continue to operate, the first coeducational elementary school in New York City, The Alexander Robertson School.
Our members also say:
“I’m here to be part of an alternative universe”
“This is a small town in a big city.”
“I know I’m growing in my faith.
