ABOUT QUEER BLACK CINEMA
Queer Black Cinema, (QBC) based in New York is a non - for - profit fiscally sponsored volunteered– run monthly micro - cinema series and annual film & music festival dedicated to showcasing independent narrative and documentary works by U.S. and international Black LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer) filmmakers. In addition, QBC also showcase trailers and music of gay and gay friendly people of color.
QBC provide workshops and panel discussion enlightening and re-educating communities on the Black LGBTQ experience and industry related issues. QBC encourages filmmakers to create films knowing there’s a venue specifically developed to display their works. We aims to be to filmmakers what Apollo Theater is to some of the world’s most greatest musicians; a home to preserve our history and expose all to our stories.
