Constructed in 1799 as a carriage house in 1799 and converted into a
day hotel in 1826, the museum transports visitors back to the 19th
century when this hotel catered to New Yorkers desiring a trip to the
country” way above 14th Street. Visitors can learn about the history
of New York City, its customs and culture while strolling through our
period rooms.
Tours are provided in English and Spanish. We are open Tuesdays –
Sundays 11-4pm. We often have after hours events. A few samples:
Candlelight Tours, Murder Mysteries, Food Tours, Food Workshops and Arts
and Crafts workshops for Adults and children.
