An Internet Television Station that will present video programming on News, Entertainment, Health, Culture, Art, Education, Lifestyle and a host of other topics related to Harlem and the other Harlems in America and the world. It is important to provide a venue that empowers community residents, businesses, entrepreneurs and all who are interested in creating cultural, educational and business opportunities for everyone.
This is an ambitious project that will increase in size and importance as we grow an audience in our planned demographic. We are planning pilot programs that will begin airing shortly so we need your help. We’ll train individuals to produce material for our programming which they will send to us via the internet and upload to www.harlemtv.net.
Volunteers and our other needs
· Producers, Writers, Reporters, Bloggers, Production assistants, Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising and just plain folks that believe in our vision, and want to learn marketable skills while working on our projects.
· An operating space to meet, plan, create and work.
· An advisory committee to help keep us focused on our vision.
· Contributions small and large from people and businesses you know can be made to Community Film Workshop , a 501c(3) not-for-profit training organization since 1965, at the address listed at the bottom of the page and is tax-deductible.
· Support: by forwarding this to as many people as you know letting them learn about our projects and helping us create an audience.
· To locate former CFWC graduates, mentors and friends.
This is the beginning. If you are interested in volunteering, contributing, taking a workshop, or have questions, Email me: rmartin@harlemtv.net
Visual Storytelling
Visit our Visual Storytelling web site www.visualstorytelling.us to understand how we are going to produce material for Harlem Television Network and what you will need to participate. It outlines the training component that is the backbone of learning to tell your stories visually and make our dream yours. Please pass this on.
