New Amsterdam Singers, led by Music Director Ben Arendsen, announces an exciting season featuring our signature mix of choral classics and contemporary voices. This year's programming includes a J.S. Bach favorite, a new collaboration with a local orchestra, a rarely performed mass by a Brazilian contemporary of Mozart, and world premieres by the winners of our first-ever young composers competition. Tickets will be on sale soon, with in-person and online streaming options available.

In our first collaboration with the Jackson Heights Orchestra, we explore music from our neighbors in South America, featuring music from Astor Piazzolla, Carlos Guastavino, and the rarely performed Missa Mimosa, written by a contemporary of Mozart, the Brazilian composer José Maurício Nunes Garcia.
