Founded by Touria El Glaoui in 2013, 1-54 is the leading international art fair dedicated to contemporary and modern art from Africa and its diaspora. Now a staple of New York’s cultural calendar, 1-54 returns for its 11th edition this spring—marking ten years since the fair first launched in the city. Held at The Halo, 28 Liberty Street, this year’s edition continues to foster cross-cultural dialogue, presenting a curated selection of galleries from Africa, Europe, and the Americas that spotlight both established and emerging talent.
