The opening reception for a dynamic quilt art experience steeped in historic, cultural and spiritual significance. February 6 at 5pm - 7:30 pm.
Harlem Girls Quilting Circle was birthed in 2000 when members of a beginner quilting class (which was a fundraiser for a performing arts project) banded together as a collective to further explore this sewing medium. Twenty years later they still meet monthly to share food, comaraderie, and the joys of creating with fabric and thread. This Gallery exhibition celebrates their time together.
