About the film:
The Legend of the Vagabond Queen of Lagos is a vibrant and socially driven drama set in the bustling streets of Lagos, Nigeria. A young mother from a waterfront slum in Lagos stumbles upon a horde of corrupt blood money. As she faces the threat of eviction from the informal settlement, she rises to lead her community in the fight against powerful forces seeking to displace them. Directed by a diverse team, this film, which premiered at TIFF 2024, blends grassroots advocacy with a gripping fictional narrative.
