NYC Fall Foliage: Weekend Brunch w/Best Views of Hudson River Foliage
Posted October 21, 2013
The NYC area is on target for some of the country’s brightest fall foliage this year, and a new West Harlem brunch spot offers the best place in the city to take it in. Perched above the Hudson River in Riverbank State Park, Riverbank Grill (679 Riverside Drive @ 145th Street) boasts spectacular views of the George Washington Bridge and the Palisades. From its relaxing outdoor beer garden, leaf peepers can soak up Hudson Valley foliage without even leaving the city. Launched last month, Riverbank Grill serves up satisfying American classics. Highlights from the brunch menu, served from noon to 5pm on weekends, include chicken and waffles, a hangover omelet stuffed with 3 kinds of meat (and 2 hot pepper varieties!), crab cake benedict, and a smokehouse burger topped with bacon, onion rings, and cheese. Completing the perfect Fall brunch: bottomless mimosas, red sangria, and Bud/Bud Light pints. The restaurant also offers a cocktail menu and a selection of 30 locally and internationally brewed beers. To show off its unbeatable views, Riverbank Grill is offering a special deal to visitors: snap a photo of yourself enjoying brunch against the Hudson River backdrop and post it to their Facebook page and you’ll receive a free dessert of funnel cake with homemade vanilla bean ice-cream on your next visit.
